The Post-Baccalaureate (PB) Fellows Program is part of the American Cancer Society (快猫短视频) Center for Innovation in Cancer Research (CICR) Training.

The PB Program focuses on the individual and professional development of bachelor-level trainees and offers financial and support services to prepare them for a career in cancer research or care. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of cancer researchers in the future.

The Basics: Post-Baccalaureate Fellows Program?

For individuals with a bachelor's degree:

  • Aspiring for a doctoral degree in any health profession or STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) discipline, such as?biomedical science, data science, population health, or public health.

Participants spend 2 years?engaging in hands-on research. They're mentored by an accomplished investigator in a cancer research lab or in a clinical or community setting.

Trainees receive a stipend of at least $35,000 a year, plus funds for travel to professional meetings, application fees, funds to offset healthcare coverage, childcare, and transportation.?

The 快猫短视频 CICR funding opportunity for Post-Baccalaureate Fellows is awarded to institutions to support implementation of a 2-year cancer research certificate program for individuals with bachelor's degrees who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in any STEM discipline or health profession.?

Each funded institution can recruit 4 fellows for a 2-year training program.

Institutional Grant Eligibility Criteria

The 快猫短视频 CICR? funding opportunities are available to institutions who meet the institutional and administrative eligibility criteria.

Eligible nonprofit institutions may be academic institutions, cancer centers, or an equivalent nonprofit institution with academic affiliations.

All institutions must have:

  • An established cancer research program
  • Experience with Pathways programs
  • Held an 快猫短视频, NIH, or other grant from a national funder of institutional research or training grants
  • An accredited nonprofit degree-granting institution headquartered in the United States to confer bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and health professional degrees
